| [ | mood |
| | cheerful | ] | Finally got to talk to the people at Waverly and they have every saturday open up until August of this year for the 8 hour lock down.
My brothers and I want to do this in May as it is easier for me not shoving it between FWA and some other stuff. It gives me time to drive up explore and get to my final destination un rushed and not worried about work. May most people are out of school so that works for some friends and family. I will probably pick on of the saturdays in May that works best, probably one around the middle of the month (will have exact dates in a bit).
With that being said who is interested in joining us. I do not have the full 10 people going. Only people that would be for sure depending on when my brothers call me back to double check everything would be:
1) Me 2) Daniel 3) Andres 4) Felipe 5) Nicole 6) Torrey 7) Adam 8) 9) 10)
The deposit is $100 if you guys want to do the 8 hour which in my opinion seems like the coolest option of the 2. If people rather do the 4 hour which is $50 a person then tell me as well as that would be fine if more people rather do that, but heavily leaning towards the 8 hour.
I can be the main person making the charge on the card. With that being said I will not save any spots until payment is in. I cannot risk charging my card with 1k and people not paying, that is not acceptable. So if you are wanting to go and like the date Month please reply back. Please do not reply back if you cannot go, this is for people who are wanting to go.
Payments unless I know you in person should be done via money order or paypal. That I will discuss as soon as I have everything squared away.
Please tell me what would work best for you.

Usually a post titled that would be quetico's territory, but at the doctor's office this morning, I crashed into/through a wall that wasn't there last time. I checked in with the nurses, and turned around and WUMP! There is a wall about 4 feet opposite the window, forming a hallway of sorts. After they replace the drywall and the stud I broke, it should look pretty good again.
Oh, yeah, the doctors visit. My new meds work, and the blood pressure is 124/75. Within healthy parameters again. |

I know, it's been a while since I did one of these, so here's to the new year!
Today's obscure/rare cd is:
"Asides Besides" by Talk Talk.
Normally I don't select a "collection", but this collection of A-sides and B-sides (hence the clever name of the cd), features quite a bit of music unavailable unless you happen to own all of the vintage 12" inch vinyl singles the songs appeared on as B-sides, as well as extended mixes of most all the hits. In addition to all the big hits like "It's My Life", "Talk Talk", "Life's What You Make It", and "Such a Shame", you'll also find great un-heard gems like "Without You", "Strike Up The Band", "Again A Game Again", "?" and "Pictures of Bernadette". There's also some neat demo-versions of album tracks too. One other neat feature is that the booklet features all the cover-artwork that British illustrator-extraordinaire James Marsh created for band. Once only available as an extremely-limited import, this two-cd set is much easier to find nowadays, and worth the listen Check it out. :) |

Just thought I'd relist this, since my closet is still bulging past capacity at the moment -- and trying to raise funds for a fellow fur who has fallen on some hard times as of late.
Trying to help him out! <3
If anyone would like to commission something similar to this, let me know and we can work something out.
Thanks for looking.
oooh. also. I've been meaning to ask Furbuy, or Furbid? Which do you guys post/buy from the most? |

| ...in a high-res world... |

Just worked out that my n800's screen is about 225 ppi. That's 225 ppi full colour. That's better than most dye-sub photo printers manage (typically 8 px/mm or approx 203 ppi). When I first came across laser printers (mid '80s, I think), 300 dpi (black and white, no greyscale) was the best they could do, and I think there were 150 dpi lasers before that. So we now have, as a matter of course, full colour displays which can display significantly more detail than the laser printers I remember scrutinising the output from and think "wow, you can hardly even see the dots under magnification!" Hmm, that would be Progress(tm)! |

| | hopeful | ] | Player's Handbook. Does anyone on my friends list have a .pdf of it? If so, please send it to me! Lol.
I have a 4th edition game to get to tomorrow and I need to make up my character before going over there. Unfortunately, I've tried different fileshare sites hoping to find it, but it's either a) fake, b) the download doesn't work, or c) the site doesn't look trustworthy.
Luckily, I've found the character sheets fine, it's just the books I'm missing.

My stained-glass window of sanity is full of color and beauty. Knowing such prettiness exists in my life, how could I be kept away from staring as such a magnificent piece of art.

| Eye See You! |
[Jan. 8th, 2010|11:23 am] |
So reading up on a recent post about eye colours, I began to think about transparency + Colour. I was reminded of those stain-glass painting kits you could get as a kid where the "glass" was really just plastic and the paints were see-through so that the sun could shine through. I was wondering if you could use those kinds of paints for eyes. I thought the vision would be better, and then if you had, say, a character with a blind eye, you could white out the whole thing (or any other colour) and still be able to see through it. Does anyone think it would work? Or do you think it would be TOO transparent? Or that maybe the colour would not show up due to a dark background?
Just a suggestion! ^_^ |
